DESCRIPTION:This seminar is the first of a series of three linked worksho
ps which will bring together researchers from a range of disciplinary fi
elds in SALC to examine how different disciplines within our school arti
culate creative practice as research.\n\nWe intend these workshops to be
a space for researchers to explore similarities and differences between
disciplines and pedagogies\; to consider how ‘applied’ creativity might
be brought into research through commissioning and collaboration\; and
a chance to discuss the benefits of creative collaborations for both res
earch teams and the cultural organisations they work with.\n\nOur broade
r aim is to build a critical peer network of creative practitioners acro
ss our school.\n\nThe sessions are open to academic staff and PGR studen
ts. Lunch provided.\n\nThis event is sponsored by CIDRAL\, the Centre fo
r Interdisciplinary Research in Arts and Languages.
