ional points on a curve. In this talk I will discuss generalisations whe
re a single curve is replaced by a family of subvarieties of a family of
abelian varieties. I will explain how a suitable version of the Ax-Scha
nuel theorem can be used to prove finiteness results. I will then also d
iscuss how one can prove explicit bounds on the number of exceptional po
ints in some cases\, generalising a recent theorem of Caro and Pasten fo
r rational points on surfaces inside a rank one abelian variety.\n\nRoom
