DESCRIPTION:Join us for this PSI seminar with guest speaker Dr. Izzy Jaya
 singhe \nIn this seminar\, Dr. Jayasinghe will outline how the continued
  improvement and strategic adaptation of super-resolution microscopy too
 ls have enhanced our understanding of the nanoscale structures underpinn
 ing life. Dr. Jayasinghe will illustrate some of these advances with exa
 mples where super-resolution modalities have allowed us to better-visual
 ise ryanodine receptor (RyR) nanodomains in tissues like the heart\, mus
 cle and neural tissues. Correlative structure-function imaging has allow
 ed us to resolve\, observe and identify the RyR clustering patterns whic
 h spatially-encode the fast calcium signals within the cells. Dr. Jayasi
 nghe will also introduce some of the newer modalities of localisation mi
 croscopy that we are developing\, such as sandSTORM\, which offer a usef
 ul workaround some of the key bottlenecks in super-resolution implementa
 tion at present. \n
