DESCRIPTION:The Pedagogy Development programme is led by Dianne Burns and
ensures that all those contributing to Faculty programmes can engage wi
th sound pedagogy and share best practice in teaching\, learning and stu
dent experience. It is based on four key areas that align with the Unive
rsity's Teaching\, Learning and Student vision and Faculty Strategy for
Teaching\, Learning and Students which are each split into three segment
s that make up the development framework that is fondly known as the "Wh
eel". We encourage all those involved in teaching activities across the
Faculty of Biology\, Medicine and Health to take part in the programme\,
including those from our education partners in the NHS\, Industry and o
ther workplace settings.\n\nOur learners contribute to planning content
for the programme and the ethos is one of transformative learning\; that
is\, learning as an active and life-changing process that requires educ
ators not only to challenge learners’ thinking but also be prepared to e
ngage critically and develop their own practice.\n\nAll participants are
invited to take part in this interactive workshop to share their person
al experiences of SL /CEL\, to share expertise within the group\, hear a
bout the latest evidence on the value of SL and how it is core to the Un
iversities Vision for Teaching and Learning and Social Responsibility. \
n\nWe hope that participants will feel empowered to start integrating mo
re activities within their own programmes or develop current projects\n\
nThe masterclass will be held on campus in John Owens\, Ken Kitchen Comm
ittee room.\n\n\nTo register to attend\, please use the following link h
