Hosted by writer and poet Sai Murai, artists will talk about their work alongside social, political and museological contexts that have been drawn out by the curators including the theme of violence that is present in many of the art works and museum objects alike. In particular the museum’s Curator of Living Cultures, Stephen Welsh, will discuss the contrasts between the way identities have been classified within museum collections since the early colonial era against the dynamic cross-linkages within the 90 Degree Citizen artists works.

This will be followed by a short music performance – full details available soon at www.virtualmigrants.com .
