About the event:
The NIHR Greater Manchester Primary Care Patient Safety Translational Research Centre invites you to its 2nd annual research symposium, taking place on Wednesday 1 July from 13.30-17.30 in The Derby Suite at The Midland Hotel, Peter Street, Manchester.
Whether you are a consumer (e.g. patients and carers) or provider (e.g. GP, Nurse, Pharmacist) of primary care health services who is interested in patient safety research, or would like to get involved in this type of activity, this symposium is for you.
The event will showcase our ongoing work on:
- making diagnosis safer
- using information technology to improve safety
- patients’ views of patient safety.
It will explain how the work will benefit and be informed by patients, carers and members of the public and how it could impact on the everyday working lives of healthcare professionals.
The research projects of our PhD students will be highlighted, showing how their work may improve primary care patient safety in the future.
The event is free, but requires registration via Eventbrite. Refreshments will be provided.
