DESCRIPTION:THIS COURSE IS NOW FULL\n\nThis course provides a general int
 roduction to analysing data using statistical models. Over three days\, 
 participants are guided through the process of defining statistical mode
 ls\, inputting these into a statistical analysis package and then interp
 reting and presenting the results. Emphasis is placed on the use and int
 erpretation of graphical methods for analysis\, which enable detailed an
 alysis without the need for advanced statistical or mathematical theory.
 \n\nData are analysed using Generalized Linear Models\, which allow the 
 analysis of many types of numeric and categorical data. \nLectures are c
 ombined with computer exercises to provide hands-on experience of data a
 nalysis. The computer software "R" is used extensively in conjunction wi
 th the R-commander and the R-studio to provide a simple and powerful ana
 lysis platform. No prior experience or expertise with this software is r
 equired. Although all software and material is provided that runs on the
  net-worked computers provided\, participants may run the software on th
 eir own computers and are encouraged to bring lap-tops. \n\nFull partici
 pation in the course does not require advanced statistical skills. \n\nW
