 sor of Social Work Education and Research and director of the SORD (Soci
 al Research with Deaf People) programme at the University of Manchester\
 , and Visiting Professor in the Centre for Deaf Studies\, University of 
 the Witwatersrand\, South Africa.  Her primary research focus is the int
 ersection of d/Deaf and hearing lives whether in the family or in multi 
 disciplinary service provision across the lifecourse. She is the author 
 of over 100 research outputs\, remains a registered social worker and is

 f Nursing\, Midwifery and Social Work and her research focuses on primar
