DESCRIPTION:The UK Data Service holds the UK’s largest collection of rese
 arch data. This introductory workshop is for anyone with an interest in 
 social research who wants to hear about the vast array of resources we o
 ffer.\n\nParticipants will learn about the different types of quantitati
 ve and qualitative data we hold\, how to find those data collections usi
 ng our online resource discovery tools and how to register to access dat
 asets in a number of different formats. We will also demonstrate how som
 e of our data collections can be viewed and analysed online\, as well as
  providing an overview of our support and training resources for student
 s\, researchers and teachers.\n\nThis free online workshop will consist 
 of an interactive presentation with time for questions at the end.\n\nPr
 esenters: Tracey Tiller and Anna Woodfield\n\nWe will be using Mentimete
 r to ask questions in this workshop\, so you may benefit from having a s
 econd device ready for this\, such as a smartphone.\n\nThis event will b
 e livestreamed on our UK Data Service YouTube channel but the chat will 
 be disabled. By registering and attending the Zoom event you will be abl
 e to ask questions and interact.\n\nRecordings of UK Data Service events
  are made available on our YouTube channel and\, together with the slide
 s\, on our past events pages soon after the event has taken place.\n\nTh
