  the event:'''\n\nProfessor Ed Wraith was the director of the Willink Bi
 ochemical Genetics Unit at St Mary’s Hospital and had an honorary appoin
 tment in the Faculty of Medical and Human Sciences at the University of 
 Manchester. He was a giant in the lysosomal storage disease field with a
  world-leading reputation and his clinical trials resulted in 6 of the 9
  licenced drugs currently available for lysosomal diseases today. Ed die
 d suddenly on the 10th April 2013. \n\nThis half day memorial meeting wi
 ll be held close to the anniversary of Ed’s death and is themed around h
 is life and work and includes talks from some of the leading experts on 
 lysosomal diseases including unique insights into multidisciplinary dise
 ase management\, clinical trials and patient perspectives. This is follo
 wed by a chance to network and reminisce on Ed’s great achievements in t
 he field at a drinks reception\, gala dinner and ceilidh with the band “
 Triple Scotch”.  \n\nThe meeting is designed to be both educational and 
 accessible to a wide audience including clinicians\, scientists\, nurses
  and support groups working in the lysosomal disease area\, as well as a
 ffected families who were so close to Ed’s heart. \n\nThe event will be
