DESCRIPTION:Research data management tools and services were identified a
 s a major priority for researchers during the consultation for the Resea
 rch Lifecycle Programme. To help address this issue there will be an eve
 nt on 11th September 2-4pm to demonstrate Mendeley Data (see below)\, a 
 new research data management platform that has been developed by Elsevie
 r in collaboration with the University.  \n \nThis event will include th
 e chance for you to use the platform and feedback to the supplier on wha
 t functionality would be helpful. Please sign up for this meeting via th
 e Training Catalogue.\n\n \nMendeley Data Evaluation Partnership \nThe U
 niversity is partnering with Elsevier's Mendeley Data to influence and s
 hape the research data management and publishing tools they are developi
 ng. The meeting in September will be an exciting first opportunity for r
 esearchers to see and give feedback on the beta version of the Mendeley 
 Data platform which will include dataset co-editing\, file referencing f
 rom DropBox and custom metadata tools. We expect this platform will comp
 lement the existing facilities within Schools\, Centres and the Research
  Data Storage service.  \n\n \nTo ensure this platform meets the needs o
 f all researchers at the University I encourage you to attend this meeti
