DESCRIPTION:Mathias Mejeh\, UZH Zurich \nThe Detection of Plot Structures
within the Field of Inclusive Education \nIn recent years Inclusive Ed
ucation has become a highly discussed issue all over the world. In the p
ast decades this topic has also been controversially discussed in Switze
rland\, in particular since the responsible Swiss cantons had to elabora
te concepts of inclusion and their realisation increasingly got into the
focus of education policy interests. \nIn this context\, questions abou
t the characteristic ideas of the various groups of actors collaborating
in the field have gained in importance and related to them questions ab
out adequate methodological treatments. \nIn this presentation a graph-t
heoretical analysis is introduced which consists of a reductive procedur
e apt to elaborate characteristic plot structures of actor groups on the
basis of the answers from an online questionnaire. As an illustrative a
pplication\, a study based on n= 136 participants is presented in which
characteristic ideas of Psychologists\, Parents\, Remedial Teachers\, Pr
incipals\, Speech Therapists and Teachers have been outlined covering th
e topics from the categories: orientation\, diagnostics\, financial cond
itions\, institutional structures\, legal framework\, training and furth
er training.\nHereby the following four-step procedure was used:\nFirst
step: Formal structure of all topics presented in the questionnaire (ori
ginal structure).\nSecond step: Initial structure of all topics consider
ed in the answers of the questionnaire (model structure).\nThird step: C
haracteristic structure obtained by a sampling procedure (jack-knife) nu
merically controlled by the parameters „pithiness value” and „pithiness
barrier” (pithy structure). \nFourth step: Evaluation of the degree the
characteristic structure is included in the initial structure and signif
icance test of the pithiness of the characteristic structure defined on
the difference towards the trivial (complete) and the vague (random) str
ucture as the determinant quality criteria. \nIn addition\, some further
possibilities as well as problems are discussed\, related to the determ
ination of an appropriate formal structure from canonical texts (e.g. re
gulations)\, related to the aggregation or comparison of characteristic
structures and finally related to the parametrization of defined propert
 ies of such structures.\n
