DESCRIPTION:This conference is held in honour of Alan Hamlin on the occas
 ion of his retirement from Politics at the University of Manchester.  Th
 e conference covers themes\, which have been the focus of Alan’s work ov
 er the last few decades such as ideal/non-ideal theory\, feasibility\, e
 xpressive political behaviour and conservatism.  There will be 8 papers 
 over 2 days.   \nThere is no registration fee and lunch and teas will be
  provided.  The conference is limited to 40 persons and places are alloc
