This will be an opportunity for attendees to understand key concepts relating to diversity, and to utilise this understanding to deal with difficult scenarios concerning being a victim, bystander or instigator of micro aggressive behaviour.
This is an interactive workshop, with participants expected to contribute to the discussion which may be challenging. Space will be given to sharing personal testimony of lived experience and usual ground rules regarding confidentiality of small groups will apply.
By the end of the session, attendees will be able to:
1. Explore key concepts through discussion, such as self-awareness, cultural sensibility, micro aggression and unconscious bias
2. Consider ways to challenge micro aggressions and utilise strategies to prevent these occurring
