DESCRIPTION:Join us for an engaging and interactive workshop that will br
 ing together creative businesses and researchers. The workshop will focu
 s on developing effective business engagement links between academia and
  the creative industries. \n\nResearchers in Higher Education institutio
 ns often find the process of accessing businesses and organisations diff
 icult. Equally\, arts and cultural organisations may not be fully aware 
 of how best to collaborate with researchers and of the value of engaging
  with Higher Education Institutions. \n\nWe will bring together pioneeri
 ng academics with innovative cultural leaders to explore the requirement
 s for mutually beneficial partnerships between researchers and cultural 
 organisations. \n\nThis workshop will include talks from industry profes
 sionals and researchers who have already forged successful partnerships\
 , and who are well placed to give participants tailored advice on develo
 ping fruitful partnerships of their own. Creative Manchester’s business 
 engagement with North West-based creative organisations will be showcase
 d\, among other examples.\n\nFollowing this workshop\, the outputs will 
 form the foundations of a toolkit\, which will provide practical resourc
 es and guidance on forging collaborations between academia and the creat
