DESCRIPTION:The University of Manchester Gateway Programme provides a new
  opportunity for Year 7-11 learners within Greater Manchester to partici
 pate in a coherent series of academic enrichment and Higher Education aw
 areness activities.\n\nThe Y11 Exploration Day focuses on improving lear
 ners’ research and team-working skills through completing a group resear
 ch enquiry into a topical issue. Learners mix with pupils from other sch
 ools in order to develop communication and team-working skills and to le
 arn from others’ experiences and expertise.\n
