DESCRIPTION:This years Annual Teddy Chester Lecture will be delivered by 
 Professor Henrietta Hughes OBE\, the inaugural Patient Safety Commission
 er for England.\n\nProfessor Hughes started in this role in September 20
 22. The Commissioner role is an independent public appointment to act as
  a champion for patients\, elevating their voices into the heart of gove
 rnment to lead to positive change.\n\nThe inaugural term of the first Pa
 tient Safety Commissioner in the world has show that change can happen w
 hen the entirety of the healthcare system works together to listen to pa
 tients and work in partnership to keep them safe.\n\n
