Facing Out: Loving Vincent

A special screening of this animated homage to Van Gogh, created from 65,000 oil paintings. Followed by Q&A with film artist Sarah Wimperis who contributed 788 paintings to this unique cinematic and artistic project. This film was chosen by Facing Out participant Bernard Corri, who has chosen a work by Van Gogh, one of the last paintings he ever made, for his selection from the Whitworth's collection. Visitors will have a chance to visit the exhibition Facing Out, which will be open till 9pm.
This screening is part of a programme of events to coincide with Facing Out: Life after treatment for facial cancer, an exhibition of portraits of people who have experienced facial cancers together with their choice of artworks from the Whitworth collections. The exhibition runs from 22 February to 2 June 2019.
