DESCRIPTION:The University of Manchester Research Institute (UMRI) will b
 e launching the latest round of pump-priming awards in January 2025. The
  call aims to encourage collaboration and provide support for activities
  that will lead to an increase in successful interdisciplinary research.
 \n\nAwards of up to £50K available\, you’ll have one year to explore new
  ideas and forge exciting collaborations that push the boundaries of int
 erdisciplinarity.  \n\nEligibility: \n\n•	Sought from researchers across
  all discipline areas.\n\n•	To be led by an applicant who is eligible to
  apply for external research funding. Research associates and research f
 ellows may be included as a Co-PI if the expected outcome of the project
  will support their applications for independent funding.\n\n•	Encourage
 d to include early career researchers. For this call early career resear
 chers are defined as being employed in a non-permanent research position
  or holding a research fellowship or an academic post and who has less t
 han eight years (full time equivalent and excluding periods of maternity
 \, paternity and sick leave) of post-doctoral research experience.\n\nPr
 eference will be given to applications led by non-professorial staff or 
 staff recently appointed or promoted to professor (in last two to three
