DESCRIPTION:We run regular campus visits throughout the year for groups o
 f students in Year 10 and upwards. The programme of activities includes 
 a welcome presentation\, a question-and-answer session with a panel of o
 ur current students\, and a guided tour of the campus led by a current s
 tudent.\n\nThe presentation provides information relating to our academi
 c history and reputation\, social facilities\, support facilities\, acco
 mmodation and the city of Manchester\, as well as more general informati
 on on higher education. The campus tour takes in our Students' Union\, t
 he John Rylands University Library\, the Old Quadrangle (the oldest part
  of the University)\, University teaching buildings\, the University Pre
 cinct Centre and Manchester Aquatics Centre.\n\nIf you would like to arr
 ange a visit for your students we would be happy to facilitate this (ava
 ilability permitting). There is a sample programme outline below and fur
 ther details will be made available after you have made a booking reserv
 ation and received a confirmation email from the Undergraduate Recruitme
 nt and Widening Participation Team. Please note that there may be other 
 school/college groups in attendance as we need a minimum of 25 students 
 to run a session.\n\nTime Activity \n\n1.30pm Arrival on campus. \n\n1.4
 0pm University presentation – a short presentation including video clips
  of some of our current students. It includes an introduction to the Uni
 versity\, advice on choosing a university and course\, and student life.
  \n\n2.15pm Student panel – an opportunity to ask questions to our stude
 nt ambassadors about any aspect of university life. \n\n2.30pm Campus to
 ur. \n\n3.30pm Depart. \n
