Materials Performance Centre – 15th Anniversary Conference
To celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Materials Performance Centre, we will be holding a one-day conference on Thursday 23rd March. This will take place at the University of Manchester, in the Great Hall, Sackville Street Building, from 09.30 – 16.00.
Since it was launched in 2002 as a BNFL University Research Alliance, the MPC has grown and developed, yet remains committed to excelling in nuclear materials research, as well as to creating new expertise and developing world-class capabilities to enhance
the national and international nuclear communities.
The conference will be a celebration of fifteen years of the MPC, as well as a showcase of our research and capabilities, with presentations by a number of staff, postdocs and PhD students. These presentations will be accompanied by an exhibition,
highlighting the MPC’s history, current work and future plans, alongside posters from our current researchers. The overall aim of the day is to give attendees a clear view of current research in the MPC, and a sense of how the Centre has developed
since its foundation, as well as an opportunity to speak with staff and researchers.
