DESCRIPTION:HI@M is a quarterly meeting that aims to bring together cross
 -disciplinary researchers with an interest in eHealth to share skills an
 d encourage collaboration. Each meeting focuses on a specific theme that
  outlines the health problem and possible or example eHealth solutions. 
  The meeting is formatted that we have some key speakers to present thei
 r work and stimulate discussion around the subject. \n\nThis meeting is 
 to focus on the co-production observation with patients and the use of m
 obile technologies to enable this.  This is a major theme in government 
 thinking: the Information Strategy has signalled the empowerment of the 
 patient by ‘Putting us all in control of the health and care information
  we need’.  This was also one of the key themes in the recent HeRC propo
 sal in which we will concentrate on the development of technologies for 
 capturing patient reported outcomes and monitoring health status.  The m
 eeting agenda with brief speaker biographies can be seen below. \n \nIn 
 addition\, since we last met\, we have set up a LinkedIn Group to suppor
 t our group meetings and stimulate discussion beyond these.  We would li
 ke to use this space as a ‘market-place’ where people can post questions
 \; raise issues\; or highlight potential areas of collaboration. \n\nCom
 e along and join us on 9th July and help shape the Health Informatics @ 
 Manchester. \n
