Over the next few years the University will be embarking on a Long Term Maintenance project where there will be various maintenance works going on in the Chemistry Building. The building is now over 50 years old and as a result we urgently need to repair and replace the ventilation and pipework, amongst other things. More extensive work will be occurring on the seventh floor.
All staff will be affected by this work. Almost everyone will need to move offices temporarily at some point. To explain exactly what is happening, Richard Winpenny and the Senior Project Manager of the planned works will be holding a presentation and staff meeting to explain the details. We strongly advise you either attend yourself or send a responsible person from your group/department to feedback information, as many people will need to plan in advance to prevent their work from being disrupted by the maintenance
