SUMMARY:Neurogenesis and migration in the peripheral nervous system
UID:{http://www.columbasystems.com/customers/uom/gpp/eventid/}z19f-hvjjmt

DESCRIPTION:My group is interested in the early development of neurons. W
e have established the developing cranial sensory ganglia in chick as an
easily accessible model to address questions relating to fundamental me
chanisms controlling neuronal development. We are analysing the roles of
candidate genes identified as a result of a microarray screen to find i
ntrinsic changes in migrating peripheral neuroblasts. We can draw parall
els with the developing CNS and are using this system to provide insight
s into the molecular control of neurogenesis\, neuronal migration\, and
 neuronal morphology.
