This wide-ranging talk aims to unpack the complex and personal reality of the British Chinese Identity.
Feiya Hu, Grace Wilding and Jamie Chi will be joining us to discuss the British-Chinese identity in a joint talk organised by Decolonise East Asian Studies UoM and hosted by the Manchester China Institute. This talk will take the format of three talks, one from each speaker, followed by an audience-led Q&A discussion on the topics presented by the speakers.

Jamie Chi
Biography: Jamie is an independent filmmaker and photographer. They are the director of a documentary & photography project called Safe Distance. Jamie is also the co-founder, programme development lead of Queer China UK.
Grace Wilding
Biography: Grace is an adoptee from CACH-All voicing the often forgotten experience of British-Chinese adoptees.
Feiya Hu
Biography: Feiya is an anti-racism activist and co-founder of Racism Unmasked Edinburgh, with a wealth of experience raising awareness of ESEA discrimination and educating allies.
