 ions of stories\, most recently What Becomes\, and six novels\, includin
 g Paradise and Day\, winner of the 2007 Costa Book of the Year Award and
  Costa Novel Award and the Saltire Scottish Book of the Year 2007. Her m
 ost recent novel\, The Blue Book\, was published in 2011 and has been sh
 ortlisted for the Saltire Scottish Book of the Year 2011.\nShe is the wi
 nner of the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize\, the Somerset Maugham Award\, the
  Encore Prize and was chosen as one of Granta’s twenty Best of Young Bri
 tish Novelists in 1993 and again in 2003. She is also recipient of the L
 annan Foundation Literary Award\, 2007 and the Austrian State Prize for 
 European Literature\, 2007.\nA collection of non fiction\, On Writing\, 
 was published in 2013 and a new collection of stories\, All the Rage\, w
 ill be published in Spring 2014.\n\n
