Come to Manchester CI's March public talk to hear from Singaporean artist and designer Ling Tan, who will talk about her projects on low carbon Chinese food and community participation.
Ling will share some of her latest environmental projects that combine data science, Chinese food culture, technology and community participation to explore different ways that we can all help respond to the Climate Crisis. This includes her recent outdoor work Low Carbon Chinatown, which premiered at London Chinatown during London Design Festival 2022.
Bio
Ling Tan is a UK based Singaporean designer and artist working within the field of social engagement, technology, citizen participation and politics. Originally trained as an architect, her work explores citizens’ interaction with the built environment through technology, and our collective agency and responsibility in tackling complex issues surrounding our cities.
