Dr Roger Harrison is delighted to welcome Dr Zeinab El Maadawi, Associate Professor and Head of e-Learning in the Medical School, Cairo University, who will be presenting at this seminar. Roger Harrison has been working with Zeinab El Maadawi on a number of ideas regarding the potential for MOOC platforms and open-access education in general, to remove the barrier of language.
Dr El Maadawi will present her research and share her experience from investigating a number of different MOOC platforms and their users followed by a general discussion and UoM activities
Zeinab El Maadawi (MD) is an associate professor and e-learning expert at the faculty of medicine, Cairo university, Egypt where she works as medical educator, biomedical researcher & e-learning expert with evident experience in international education management. She is passionate about using the added value of emerging technologies to promote access to quality education and learning for all. Her expertise in technology enhanced learning includes e-learning management, instructional design, content development, tutoring of virtual communities & quality management of online environments. She is also interested in new & emerging technologies that are used to link health care delivery, medical education & biomedical research. She is an advocate for using virtual collaborative tools to promote cross-cultural communication & to enhance management & leadership skills for start-ups & emerging leaders worldwide.
