 ouise Richardson is President of the philanthropic foundation Carnegie C
 orporation of New York. Previously\, she served as Vice-Chancellor (Pres
 ident) of the University of Oxford and of the University of St. Andrews\
 , and as Executive Dean of the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. A
  widely recognized expert on terrorism and international relations\, she
  is the recipient of numerous fellowships\, awards\, and honorary doctor
 ates. Born in Ireland\, Richardson received a BA in history from Trinity
  College Dublin\, an MA in political science from UCLA\, and an MA and P
 hD in government from Harvard University\, where she spent 20 years on t
