DESCRIPTION:Professor Zhigang Li is one of China's leading urban scholars
  and has recently finished his term as the Chinese Editor of Urban Studi
 es (Sage). He is Dean of the School of Urban Design at Wuhan University\
 , \n\nProfessor Li’s research focuses on the socio-spatial transformatio
 n of urban China and studying challenging issues such as residential seg
 regation\, integration and the satisfaction of migrants\, and urban plan
 ning. He is known for his pioneering work on the study of African enclav
 es in China and  has published well over 100 papers in English and Chine
 se journals such as Transactions of the Institute of British Geographers
 \, Antipode\, Urban Geography\, Urban Studies\, Eurasian Geography and E
 conomics.  He is also on the list of the most-cited Chinese researchers 
 (Elsevier 2014\, 2015) and has been the principal investigator of four r
 esearch project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of Chi
 na (NSFC)\, including the ‘Excellent Youth Foundation’ award (2014). Pro
 fessor Li also received China’s ‘National Award for Young Geographers’ (
 2011) and ‘National Award for Young Planners’ (2013).\n\nManchester Urba
