This workshop introduces the Faculty’s internationalisation strategy and its relevance to academic practice. Participants will explore the motivations, benefits, and ethical dimensions of international engagement, examine case studies of international collaboration across disciplines and regions, and consider how internationalisation can be meaningfully embedded within their own research and career development.
Intended Learning Outcomes
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Articulate the purpose, reach, and impact of the Faculty’s internationalisation strategy and its relevance to academic practice.
- Evaluate the motivations and benefits of internationalisation for incoming academic visitors and host institutions.
- Describe some principles relating to ethical and equitable international partnerships across diverse global contexts.
- Analyse case studies of international collaboration across disciplines and geographies to identify success factors and challenges.
- Apply insights from the session to develop strategies for prioritising internationalisation in your own research and career development.
