In September 2017, Manchester Museum is delighted to be playing host to an ancient statue of the elephant-headed Hindu god Ganesha on loan from the British Museum. This beautiful, unique 13th century stone sculpture is over 800 years old and originates from Eastern India. Join us as we celebrate the arrival of Ganesha with a day full of art, music, history and dance.
