As part of the Technology Platforms thematic Group showcase series, the Protein and Metabolite Analysis group will be holding their 2024 showcase on the 14 of October (10am – 2pm) in the Michael Smith Lecture Theatre.
Come and find out how the Protein and Metabolite Analysis group can support your research with:
- the latest technology offerings that cover the breadth and nature of protein and metabolite analyses available within the technology platforms (the perfect opportunity for new PhD students to find out what support is available!)
- case studies highlighting the interdisciplinary work undertaken in an integrated manner by the technology platforms within the Integrated genomics theme
- what support vendors can offer the users of the equipment within the technology platforms (and their latest tech offerings!)
Attendees are asked to register if they intend to stay for the lunch or present a poster. Registration can be done here. PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST ENTER CODE: 3706 TO GAIN ACCESS TO REGISTER.
There will be a poster session over the lunch break, if you have a poster illustrating work you have done to image across scales and would like to present it, please let us know via the registration link. There are limited poster slots available so get in quickly to be in with a chance of winning a prize for the best poster! Additionally, a number of flash presentations will be selected from the posters. The flash presentations will be a 3 -5 min no more than 3 slides presentation of your poster.
This event is part of the FBMH technology platforms showcase series. The series is comprised of three thematic groups aimed at promoting interdisciplinary working across the platforms and developing new integrated approaches for research projects within specific research domains.
The three themes are:
- Imaging across scales – 7 October
- Protein and Metabolite Analysis – 14 October
- Integrated genomics – 21 October
Each theme is led by both an academic and technologist expert and brings together the relevant technology platforms with academic users to maximise how the technology platforms can support the academic research community, develop new technologies and underpin interdisciplinary work.
The themes will each host a showcase event to highlight the work they currently support and provide a forum for academics and technologists to network over the latest technological and methodological advances within the theme remit. In addition, new students or new users will be able to find out about the support available in the technology platforms, hear from users who have helped develop the interdisciplinary pipelines within the facilities, and find out from vendors what support they can provide.
For each showcase, attendees are welcome to attend any of the sessions they are interested in but are asked to register if they are intending on staying for the lunch.
