Join us to explore interdisciplinary research and synergies in the fields of digital technology and sustainability. We welcome PhD students from The University of Manchester who are conducting research in these areas and are interested in exchanging ideas and knowledge on emerging challenges.

This exclusive workshop aims to showcase PhD research at the forefront of digital and sustainability topics, encourage collaboration between the two fields, and stimulate inspiration and ideas for translating research into solutions for real-world problems.

What to expect:

· Research Platforms introductions

· PhD lightning talks

· Braining activity on digital and sustainable challenges and opportunities

· Networking

To whet your appetite, here are some of the discussion topics you can expect:

· Digital footprint

· Digital infrastructure

· Circular economy

· Opportunities and consequences of digital technology

We are also looking for PhD students to present their research – this will be an interdisciplinary group, so it’s an opportunity to share your knowledge outside of your usual field and to develop interesting conversations and new perspectives on your work.

If you would like to present your research which has a digital or sustainable element, please contact kitty.lo@manchester.ac.uk by 21st October 2024, 5pm. Speaker spaces are limited, so we recommend reaching out at your earliest convenience to secure your spot and avoid disappointment.

We look forward to hearing your thoughts and insight on how we can solve current issues through interdisciplinary research! | Registration begins at 12:30PM.
