Title: Model theory of proalgebraic groups
Abstract: The model theory of profinite groups plays an important role in the model theory of fields, especially in the model theory of pseudo algebraically closed fields. A main motivation for our quest to develop the model theory of proalgebraic groups is to achieve something similar for differential fields. This talk is an introduction to the model theory of proalgebraic groups. In particular, we will explain how tensor categories can be used to interpret proalgebraic groups as first order structures. This is joint work with Anand Pillay.
