Title: p-parity conjecture for twists of hyperelliptic curves by Artin representations
Abstract: The p-parity conjecture for twists of abelian varieties over global fields predicts that the parity of the multiplicity of an Artin representation in the p-infinity Selmer group agrees with the global twisted root number. This conjecture holds over global function fields. I will explain how one can use this to deduce the conjecture for Jacobians of hyperelliptic curves over number fields for a certain class of Artin representations.
