Measuring Inclusion and Diversity in Nuclear is a hugely challenging and important area that is required to ensure that the Nuclear Industry can attract and retain excellent people from all backgrounds.

Join our amazing panellists:

Monica Mwanje is the co-founder of Inclusion and Diversity in Nuclear; a non-profit industry led organisation. IDN’s aim is to complement the great work and initiatives that are already happening, and to provide support and enablement at an industry level nationwide. She is MD and founder of MM Creative Solutions (MMCS). Founded in 2015, MMCS provides strategic consultancy services for organisations seeking growth and transformation in nuclear and other regulated sectors. Monica has also been an invited speaker and panellist at international events, speaking to attendees about inclusion, diversity and equity. She is a STEM Ambassador and enjoys supporting events at schools and colleges, highlighting career paths and opportunities to students. Monica is also a Board Director and Steering Group Member for Northern Nuclear Alliance, as well as an External Advisory Board Member for the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Fusion Energy (Fusion CDT).

Prof. Scott Heath is Director of Education for the Dalton Nuclear institute, Principal Investigator for the GREEN Nuclear Doctoral Training Centre, and Associate Dean for Post Graduate Researchers and Researcher Development for the faculty of Science and Engineering at The University of Manchester.

Nicola Summers works for Jacobs as an Operations Coordinator. Beyond her day job, she is an active local leader in several employee networks. Nicola supported the formation of the Rainbow Forum through collaboration with LGBTQIA+ communities and I&D working groups across Nuclear. Nicola is a member of the Inclusion and Diversity in Nuclear (IDN) advisory board.
