This workshop, run by artsmethods@manchester, will focus on narrative as informing research methodology. We will look at narrative as a practice of understanding ourselves and our relationship with the world through examples of interpretative approaches involving storytelling methodology. The workshop provides an introduction to Narrative as research methodology, includes a step-by-step methodology, and shows how research data can be analysed effectively if viewed in narrative terms.

Biography: Dr Letizia Alterno is an Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of English, American Studies and Creative Writing and has been running artsmethods@manchester methodology and theory workshops since 2012. She specialises in postcolonial studies.
