Title: Tropical representations of the Stylic monoid
Abstract: The tropical semiring has been increasingly used as a carrier for representations of monoids, which cannot be faithfully represented by fields. I begin by introducing a family of monoids called the Stylic monoids which are finite analogues to the well-studied family of plactic monoids. I will then describe a faithful tropical representation of the Stylic monoid for each rank, and discuss how we can use this representation to understand the varieties generated by these monoid and fully classify the identities satisfied them.
