We are excited to invite you to this year's Healthier Futures Annual Lecture, featuring Professor Clare Bambra, one of the leading UK voices on health inequalities.
Drawing upon her acclaimed book, 'Getting Better: The Policy and Politics of Reducing Health Inequalities', Professor Bambra will address the urgent and growing crisis of social inequalities in health. By examining powerful historical case studies from around the world, including the US Great Society, German reunification, and democratisation in Brazil, she will document how population-level reductions in health inequalities have been achieved.
Clare is Professor of Public Health at Newcastle University and Co-Director of Health Equity North. She is a leading voice in the area of health inequalities research and has contributed extensively to the policy and research dimensions of health equity.
Following the lecture, please do stay for an informal drinks and canapes reception and an opportunity to mingle and chat with colleagues and friends.
This event is open to all who may be interested, so please do share with any of your colleagues or networks who may want to join. For any questions about this event or Healthier Futures in general, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at healthierfutures@manchester.ac.uk.
We hope to see you there!
