Geoffrey Jefferson Brain Research Centre- “Brain Health Day”
Discover more about brain diseases such as stroke, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and brain tumours.
Explore the discovery stalls to learn about the groundbreaking research happening right here in Manchester. Engage with interactive brain games and activities, ask researchers your burning questions, and take advantage of health check opportunities. Find out how YOU can contribute to the ongoing research in Manchester.
There will be a variety of talks from leading researchers and medical professionals. Plus, don’t miss the special screening of “The Parkinson’s Project.” This inspiring film follows British climber Chris Hamper as he faces his Parkinson’s diagnosis and uses climbing to navigate his journey - we are thrilled to announce that Sheffield filmmaker and director Jess James will be there to introduce the film and participate in a Q&A session with the audience. The rest of the day is drop-in but you need to book for the film and Q&A.
The event is open to the public from 11AM to 3PM and is free to attend.
