In this Guest Lecture, Professor Patrycja Grzebyk will guide us through the legal foundations of the right to humanitarian assistance and explore contemporary developments that place it under increasing strain.
Patrycja Grzebyk is Associate Professor at the University of Warsaw; author of over 150 publications, including The Russian-Ukrainian Conflict and War Crimes: Challenges for Documentation and International Prosecution (Routledge: 2025); Polish Contributions to International Criminal Law (Brill: 2025); Human and Non-Human Targets in Armed Conflicts (CUP: 2022); and Criminal responsibility for the crime of aggression (Routledge: 2013); Member of the Board of the European Society of International Law; President of the Network on Humanitarian Action; Editor-in-chief of the Journal of International Humanitarian Action (Springer); Member of the Polish MFA’s advisory board on questions of international law; and Expert of the Moscow Mechanism of the OSCE (Special Rapporteur on Georgia).
