This session introduces the use of Proportional-odds regression (a GLM with a logit link) to model ordered categorical data. Simple and complex models from a number of experimental and correlational designs are computed using the R software and interpreted using effect displays. This session also investigates how the proportional-odds model can replace the "traditional" non-parametric group analyses (for example, Kruskal-Wallis and Friedman).
