A 'Lunch and Learn' webinar for anyone interested in industrial biotechnology brought to you by the Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Catalyst (IBIC)
This month's webinar is titled "The Good, the Bad and the Algae" and will be presented by Andrew Dean and Edie Beynon from Manchester Metropolitan University
Find out about our research into algae, both where it is beneficial to humans, and where it is problematic, and needs control. The talk will begin with our research on the growth and characterisation of algal biofilms, which though focussing on their control, also has applications for algal biofilms within a biotechnology context. We will then talk about our research into metal nanoparticles, and their potential for boosting productivity and lipid context of algae cultures.
