The Resourceful Futures Challenge Area presents this workshop on digitalisation, circular economy and infrastructure.
Utilising digitalisation and embracing the principles of the circular economy can steer us toward achieving sustainable development. One prominent application of these concepts lies in the enhancement of urban infrastructure. During this event, we will present several examples of how these approaches can be employed in this context, followed by a discussion on their contributions to sustainability.
Indicative Agenda:
10:00 - 10:30 - Registration and Networking Coffees/Teas and Biscuits.
10:30 - 10:45 - Short Presentation on Applications of Circular Economy in Wastewater Treatment by Dr Raphael Tarpani.
10:45 - 11:00 - Short Presentation on Construction Circularity by Professor Yong Wang, The University of Manchester.
11:00 - 11:15 - Short Presentation on Digital Twins for Construction Waste Management by Dr Muhammad Omer, The University of Manchester.
11:15 - 12:00 - Discussion Section: Discussion in Groups and Responses to Questions Submitted Prior to the Event.
12:00 - Event Close.
