This session will explore the principles of collaborative leadership approaches, and the knowledge, skills and attributes required of effective collaborative leaders. Participants will identify one area from their own practice where these principles will be applied.
Intended Learning Outcomes
- Identify the leadership context within which you operate (e.g. agency/ career development, meso, macro, micro levels)
- Identify your own preferred/current leadership style
- Define ‘collaborative leadership and explain how this differs from an autocratic leadership style
- Summarise the knowledge, skills and attributes required for collaborative leadership
- Apply suitable leadership approaches that would be applicable in certain situations
- Demonstrate a potential for utilisation of collaborative leadership approaches within own context
