Professor Maano Ramutsindela is the University of Pretoria-University of Cape Town Future Africa Research Chair and Professor of Human Geography at the University of Cape Town. He is author of the book The Violence of Conservation in Africa: State, Militarization and Alternatives.
Presentation 2: Harmscapes and Socio-Ecological Harm Reduction in Wildlife Crime Governance
Speaker: Dr Annette Hübschle
Dr Annette Hübschle is a Chief Research Officer of the Global Risk Governance Programme within the Public Law Department at the University of Cape Town. She is an expert in wildlife trafficking and wildlife crime, securitization and community-based conservation.
