Everyone is warmly invited to the Annual Brook Lecture in Middle English, to take place in:

Ellen Wilkinson C1.18 at 5pm on Wednesday 27 November

This year's lecturer is Marion Turner, Tolkien Professor of English Literature and Language at Oxford, and author of an acclaimed biography, Geoffrey Chaucer: A European Life (Princeton, 2019) and The Wife of Bath: A Biography (Princeton, 2023).

Her topic is 'Imagining Medieval Lives'.

The Brook Lecture is named for G.L. Brook, Professor of English Language and Medieval English Literature at Manchester University, 1945–77.
