Title: Quasiminimality of complex powers
Abstract: Boris Zilber conjectured that the complex exponential field is quasiminimal: every definable subset is countable or co-countable. I will report on recent progress in which Francesco Gallinaro and I have shown quasiminimality for the complex field equipped with raising to complex powers, and with complex exponential sums. In this talk I will explain the statements and some of the ideas around the proofs.
