Title: The Hecke category in Lie theory.
Abstract: The Hecke category provides the canonical setting for the study of (modular) Lie theoretic objects via Kazhdan—Lusztig theory. In this talk we discuss recent results on how these Hecke categories control the representation theory of symmetric groups, supergroups, reductive groups, sheaves on Grassmannians, and many other classical Lie theoretic objects. And we also discuss the results and conjectures which these Hecke categories have been instrumental in formulating (and debunking).
